Chapter starts with Yumin back at her place with piles of boxes of memorabilia set out. It was a six year relationship and it really shows for her.
But she is determined to clean up Iseon's memories and make a clean break. She's not holding back and starts going through her stuff, sorting pictures and finding Iseon's sister's pictures plus his father's and she decides to give those pictures to them. Though, she hesitates a little to give the pictures back, almost feeling guilty to break her teacher's heart but she is determined to make a clean break.
Back with Hyundo, it picks up right where 46 left of with Hyundo by the elevator in his apartment being called by someone. That someone turns out to be Iseon, Yumin's ex. Like Hyundo, he just got off work with his friend, Jungwoo and the two are heading home. His friend compliments Hyundo on his popularity.
Iseon and friend invite Hyundo over for some drinks and late night snacks (takeaway), Hyundo accepts but instead he offers to cook for them.
Back at Hyundo's apartment, Iseon apologises to Hyundo for making him work despite the fact they invited him to hang but Hyundo doesn't mind. The three toast and the friend brings up Hyundo and Iseon being casual with each other, asking if the two are same age.
Hyundo corrects the fact that they are not the same age. Hyundo is a year younger than Iseon. It was Iseon who wanted Hyundo to drop the formalities and treat him like a close friend. They all decide to drop formalities while they chat. Friend leaves and Iseon turns to Hyundo to ask him about the stray kitten that Hyundo and Iseon picked up. Hyundo gave it away to one of his relatives (iirc) while Iseon couldn't keep it. But Hyundo gets updates on the kittens so he shares a recent picture with the little girl caring for the kitten. He passed Iseon his phone and gets up for a bit.
While Iseon is looking at picture on Hyundo's phone. Yumin texts Hyundo.
- Text doesn't appear but her full name does: Choi Yumin.
Iseon's face just drops and he's tense, looking at Yumin's name on Hyundo's phone.
- There's a possibility he knows that it might be his Yumin.
Iseon just stares at it for a when Hyundo comes back to ask him about the kitten. Iseon tries to keep up but it's kinda clear to the readers that his mind is on Yumin. He hands Hyundo back his phone and Hyundo gets a call from unknown number. Hyundo excuses himself to take the call.
It's Sojung's mother on the other end. Like her daughter, she is rough with Hyundo and calls him her son-in-law. Hyundo cuts her off with that bs, asks what she wants since she only calls him when she wants something from him and tells her that he and her daughter broke up. Sojung's mother doesn't believe him and mentions that Sojung also told her about they broke up years but she doesn't believe them and it's shown that she's watching the episode of that Celebrity Chef show with Sojung and Hyundo.
- There's a hint that maybe Sojung's mother is going to be nuisance to Hyundo in the future here
- Some readers speculate that she might blackmail Sojung/Hyundo with the relationship or be the one to expose it
Hyundo doesn't care and makes it very clear that his relationship with them is over. Sojung and him are done and he hangs up but he is tired.
In the living room, Iseon's friend returns and asks about Hyundo. Iseon is drinking a lot by the way and there's a little out of bubble text where his friend tells him to slow down so he's also pretty stressed.
Iseon tells his friend that Hyundo got a call and the friend is confused who it could be, his first guess is that it's Hyundo's girlfriend which looks like it kills Iseon a little. His friend asks why does he look so pale but Iseon doesn't answer. He is stressed.
Hyundo comes back and the friend teases him if it was his girlfriend but Hyundo clears the air, telling him that it was nothing like that. Friend teases him again and Hyundo dodges the topic so Iseon asks if it was the friend from his 'project'
- This is the abandoned secret original project that Hyundo and Yumin had where they worked to get their exes
- Hyundo previously mentioned it in passing that he was meeting up with a friend for this project without the context of said project in a previous chapter (chapter 23)
Hyundo tells him it was a misdirected call and Iseon asks if he still talks to this friend. Hyundo confirms he does and smiles, telling them he's not sure if he should keep them a 'friend', Iseon catches that and is not happy. Hyundo asks why Iseon's asking and Iseon admits that he saw a message while looking at the pictures of the kitten.
Hyundo gets happy and blushes a little as he switches his focus and zones out of the conversation while the friend complains that Hyundo is also seeing someone while Iseon is also hitting it off with someone while he's all alone.
Yumin checks up on him, mentioning that she tried to clean her room but gave up and is resting. Hyundo tells her that he's having a drink with his friends. He gets back to Iseon and his friend while he waits for Yumin's response and asks if Iseon has a girlfriend.
The friend is the one to answer, mentioning that Iseon is close to getting back with his ex. Iseon denies that and says he's the one making the first move and his friend hypes him up, saying it's the same thing but Iseon again denies that.
Hyundo is gone since Yumin texted him back. He's smiling while reading her text and replying to her. Yumin is jealous and mentions his cooking so Hyundo invites her over to his place. The two have a playful back and forth, Hyundo is so gone and focused into the conversation with Yumin that it takes him a bit to remember that Iseon and co are still there and talking to him.
Hyundo manages to keep up and says that he's glad that things are working out for Iseon. But Iseon is not happy at all even though he thanks him and Jungwoo, telling them if he and his get back together, he's going to introduce them.
The chapter comes to a close with Iseon mentioning that Yumin is great person (without mentioning her name at all) while the panel shows Yumin in bed texting Hyundo.
So now that it's clear that the author is shifting focus on Yumin and Iseon's relationship, we're going to see more of him.
It's clear that like Sojung, he's catching to Yumin and Hyundo's budding love and he is not happy. It's also clear he might have some feelings for Yumin but also likes Hyundo as a friend.
He might also come into play more with Yumin's business. She just struck up a new deal to expand her business and she might need a lawyer. I just feel like Iseon will offer his help.
And I don't think, Sojung's arc is over yet. Her mother was introduced and she is very different from Yumin's mother. Unlike Yumin's mother, Sojung mother was abusive and seems like she was kind of a leech to both Hyundo and Sojung, she might've been a source of conflict for the two. She didn't even respect Hyundo as her daughter's boyfriend, a stark contrast to Yumin's mother who liked Hyundo at first glance, preferring him over Iseon.
There's also that random throwaway line about Sojung having a sponsor plus the viral cooking show incident with Hyundo.
